Internet safety or online safety or
cyber safety or E-Safety is trying to be
safe on the internet and is the act of
maximizing a user's awareness of
personal safety and security risks to
private information and property
associated with using the internet,
and the self-protection from
computer crime.
2. WHAT IS CYBER
BULLYING?
• Cyberbullying or cyberharassments is a form of bullying or harassment
using electronic means. Cyberbullying and cyberharassment are also
known as online bullying. It has become increasingly common,
especially among teenagers, as the digital sphere has expanded and
technology has advanced.Some examples of Cyber Bullying are-
• Sending mean or threats to a person`s email account or cell phone.
• Spreading rumors online or through texts.
• Posting hurtful or Threatening messages on social networking sites or
web pages.
• Stealing a person`s account information to break into their account
and send damaging messages.

4. Computer virus
• For everyday Internet users, computer viruses are one
of the most common threats to cybersecurity. Statistics
show that approximately 33% of household computers
are affected with some type of malware, more than half
of which are viruses.
• Computer viruses are pieces of software that are
designed to be spread from one computer to another.
They’re often sent as email attachments or downloaded
from specific websites with the intent to infect your
computer — and other computers on your contact list
— by using systems on your network. Viruses are
known to send spam, disable your security settings,
corrupt and steal data from your computer including
personal information such as passwords, even going as
far as to delete everything on your hard drive.
5. TROJAN HORSE
• Trojan malware takes its name from the classical story of the
Trojan horse, because it imitates the technique to infect
computers.
• A Trojan is a malicious program that pretends to be harmless in
order to trick people into downloading it.
• Unlike viruses, Trojans do not self-replicate by infecting other files
or computers.
6. ADWARE OR SPYWARE
• Spyware is a type of malware that aims to gather information about a
person or organization, without their knowledge, and send such
information to hack another entity without the consumer's consent.
Furthermore, spyware asserts control over a device without the
consumer's knowledge, sending confidential information to another
entity with the consumer's consent, through cookies.
7. HOW CAN WE STAY SAFE ON THE
INTERNET?
Don`t give out personal
information like:-
Not sharing your name, your
address, phone number, photo
or your email account.
Block strangers and people
whom you don’t know.
