This is a Powerpoint created as part of a course requirement. Recently, I visited the Albany Rescue Mission here in Albany, Ga. located at 604 N Monroe St. I donated food to the residents there. I really enjoyed myself. Chris Liberto who is the Public Relations manager there was extremely helpful and very nice. I learned a lot while I was there. The three most important things that I learned were: 1. The Mission serves more than 7,000 meals per month. 2. This increases to approximately 21,000 during the holidays. 3. The facility I visited is for male residents only. The women are fed at a separate location. I had so much fun and it felt really good to make a difference in the community. I actually sat down and talked with one of the male residents there. He was a very nice guy and very appreciative for my donations. I plan on donating more often.
