PRELIM LONG QUIZ in PE-4
Folk dance is a form of dance created by people to represent the lives of the people of a
particular country or region. Some traditional dances, whose core choreography necessitates
the synchronized dancing of two partners, must be performed with a partner since it is
required when dancing. When you were dancing, your partner's responsibility was to try to
work together to achieve synchronized or complimentary motions. The person who takes the
lead is primarily responsible for getting things moving. The initiator of momentum or 'energy'
(the one who leads) initiates the process, which is followed by both parties maintaining,
exaggerating, diminishing, or dissolving this momentum. This momentum or energy can be
expressed in a variety of ways, including compression, where each partner 'compresses' the
energy by bending joints and moving towards or 'into' their partner to varying degrees, and
leverage, where one partner – usually the leader – uses the development of compression or
connection to shift their follower's weight or 'ground' themselves more thoroughly before
initiating a move.
Folk dancing is a form of expression that reflects a person's culture's traditional
way of life. It's also a means for people to connect with their own traditional culture
by expressing, sharing, and connecting with it. Folk dancing is a form of expression
that reflects a person's culture's traditional way of life. Folk dance is a form of
expression that honors a group's cultural heritage. It is usually done during social
gatherings as a kind of ritualistic entertainment. Folk dance tells the core stories of
a civilization, while others just highlight cultural pride.

A dancer's lifetime will be ensured by good technique, which will prevent
injuries, improve strength and flexibility, and refine movement quality. All of which
enable technically competent dancers to dance with beautiful lines and precise body
positioning and alignment. A dancer's plie must be executed correctly in terms of
movement, choreography, and execution; every movement begins and finishes with a
bent knee posture. This awareness can help to prevent both acute and chronic harm,
as well as providing power and motivation.
Philippine folk dancing is a realistic picture of everyday life in previous ages
while also enthralling current audiences. Many ancient dances were created to express
gratitude to the gods for natural and agricultural occurrences like rain and harvests.
Folk dances depict early Filipinos' lives, works, traditions, and customs, such as the
cariosa, a wooing dance that depicts the interaction of man and woman. The dance
has a hide-and-seek feel to it.
