1. A Labor Of Love At The Raven Café
The Raven Café is an evolving manifestation of owner Ty Fitzmorris’s passion for
engaged community and environmental sustainability, serving a menu made from
approximately 70% locally sourced and organic foods, and buying all coffees, teas, and
breads locally. The beer and wine list, one of the most extensive in Northern Arizona, is
carefully created from small-batch brewers and biodynamic vintners, and you can drink it
all amidst great local music and art.
This August, the newest incarnation of the Raven opens to the public with the long-
awaited rooftop deck. Patrons will dine in fresh air where a functional herb garden, the
bar, mosaic, tables, and ceiling structures were built by local artisans from mostly
recycled materials. Along with the view of Thumb Butte, this new expansion comes with
a less visible change: the Raven Farm, created in cooperation with the Prescott Food
Revolution, now provides fresh-as-possible, seasonally diverse (and non-pesticidal) foods
straight to the kitchen. Curious yet?
