1. Tim Leavy is a tour de-force singer-songwriter from Phoenix/Flagstaff, Arizona,
who burned into the local rock scene in 20xx with his then band, Confluence.
In one fast year, after playing xx shows with such widely varying acts as the
March Fourth Marching Band and Authority Zero’s Jason Devore, Leavy’s
reportoir explodes anew with deepened originality and old-time-meets-
modern mayhem on his newly released solo LP, “Home.”
If you’re lucky enough to see him play in person, you might catch Tim
hammering and howling on an upright piano with his new bass and sax
driven ensemble on the back of a cow trailer in downtown Flagstaff.
If you can only buy the album from afar, you’ll find a rich, moody, bluesy,
sexy, love-and-loss inspired take on sound with the lyrical fluidity of Tom
Waits and bursting-seam energy of the Black Keys.
Check out his recent work here, and enjoy your trip through sin and sublimity
with one of rock’s newest and most talented.
