1. We hereby confirm that, from the 22nd
to the 28th

participated in Braga 2016 - Euro-Ibero-American Youth Forum, thereby performing an act of global citizenship.
At the Forum, the Participants had the opportunity to:
• get to know and exchange views with youngsters from 30 European and Latin American countries;
• improve their English language skills in controversial and challenging debates;
• develop their negotiation skills and their ability to work in diverse teams;
• experience a democratic decision-making process through group work and in a parliamentary assembly;
• form and express their own opinions and show personal initiative;
• expand their knowledge of Latin American and European political institutions and topics.
The European Youth Parliament Portugal is a member of the unique international network of the European Youth
Parliament (EYP), a non-partisan, unbiased, secular, non-formal educational programme for youth in all its diversity.
Established in 1987, the network has grown steadily over the years, currently comprising chapters in 40 European
countries. In 2015, the EYP network debated 1,578 resolutions at 592 events, totalling 1,456 days of activities involving
34,428 young participants from 1,387 schools.
