Mosi Mosi, inspired by the Chinese saying “無事無事” meaning “no worry”, is a newly established tailor-made-design studio to serve people with needs by means of humanistic design. The needs of the underprivileged class of our society such as people with disabilities is not the concern of the main stream design industry. I find it challenging to adopt the humanistic design approach to create tailor-made design to meet the individual needs of the class after observing the daily life of several of them for a considerable amount of time. My research conclusion is, they are normal people like us and they need design as we do in our daily life. In this project, Mosi Mosi focuses on the needs of 5 people with disabilities. They are intellectually disabled, visually disabled and physically disabled. After spending time to get along with them, I learned more about their unique behaviour and needs. Fruitfully I found that tailor-made design can help improve the quality of their lives. The designs are not merely products , but care and also raise awareness of social design.
