One aspect of their website that is extremely important to this digital strategy is the usability of this website. FedEx strives with their user-friendly website that can be transformed easily on their responsive mobile device. We will measure the success of our website through the number of profiles created, and how many clicks our small business page and it’s individual links receive.
It crucial to our success that we optimize our search engine so that we can attract customers. If we relate other key words to connect with small business owners, we can become a strong competitor against brands such as UPS, who may rank higher in terms up advertising than us. As you can see in the example above, on Google when you type in “tracking” FedEx only came up 3rd on the search, unfortunately beat by UPS.
When considering Online Advertising, FedEx must be cautious of the way it chooses to effectively promote their brand. Determining the correct channels can become difficult, especially when referring to display advertising.
We will decrease our display advertising through channels less effective to users such as television where they quickly ignore any advertisements while they click through the channels. YouTube videos and commercials are not the only form of advertising that FedEx offers. However they should focus more on websites that pertain to FedEx services. We can advertise our brand through AdGroups and other forms of Search Engine Marketing.
We will use inbound and content marketing in order to recruit and sustain our demanding customer base. This turns customers or strangers into promoters of our brand. We will do this by personalizing each customer’s experience, and sending promotional deals and services throughout the country.
