1. Carnival 2019 in Genoa
The magic, the colors and the joy of the Carnival light up and ani-
mate the Superb The scent of lies, the magic and the colors of the
Carnival arrive in Genoa. The Superba celebrates with a rich pro-
gram of events for young and old.
Dedicated to adults and fragrant from the east:
Saturday 23 February 2019 the Oriental Art Museum E.Chiossone
organizes a decoration workshop. Participants will study the Masks
of Hannya and Tengu, two characters of Japanese folklore, in vogue
on Japanese holidays. Paper pulp masks will be available to be cus-
tomized. Reservations are mandatory and 9 places are available per
date.
- Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 March will be a weekend for children,
thanks to three special events organized at the Porto Antico with
the Monster Carnival Weekend.
The first appointment is Saturday with Monster robot, an afternoon
dedicated to the robotics that will take place in the City of Children
and Children in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology.
From 15.30 to 17.30 will take place Like a Robot, a workshop for
children of all ages that will reveal the secrets and the super powers
of the Cube, R1, Centauro and Cogimon IIT robots. Always on the
same day, but from 15.30 and 16.30 will be held the I Cube labora-
tory dedicated to children aged 6 to 13 years, the little ones will be
able to build iCube, a small cardboard automaton, disguise it using
markers, glue and recycled materials. Places are limited and reser-
vations are required, activities are included in the entrance ticket
for the city of children.

2. In the evening will follow the show Alice in Wonderland show with all
the protagonists of Alice in Wonderland and Alice over the mirror,
proposed by the Aquarium of Genoa. The performances will be held
from 20 to 22 hours.
- Sunday, March 3, always at the Porto Antico, we will continue with
the free Kids Parade event to which children can participate in
masked. Magic numbers, laboratories and performers will be
present.

3. CARNIVAL IN THE MUSEUMS
On the same day Lanterna di Genova organizes the Carnival Pento-
laccia. The appointment is at 15.30 at the escalator inside the Ferry
Terminal where a journey begins to discover curiosity about the tra-
dition of the Carnival and its origins. Once at the foot of the light-
house the children will have fun with the pot and afterwards the
families will be able to get on the first panoramic terrace of the
Lanterna.
- Tuesday March 5 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the D'Albertis Castle Mu-
seum of World Cultures will take place the Piñata del Capitano,
which will allow the little ones, thanks to riddles and games to dis-
cover the history of the pentolaccia. Grand finale with a tasty pizza
party mask for children and an aperitif with tastings for par-
ents.Children will be entertained with games and riddles throughout
the museum.
