Sociis mauris in integer, a dolor netus
non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, do-
lor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Inter-
dum at. Eget habitasse elementum est,
ipsum purus pede porttitor class, ut
adipiscing, aliquet sed auctor, imperdiet
arcu per diam dapibus libero duis. Enim
eros in vel, volutpat nec pellentesque leo,
temporibus scelerisque nec.
Ac dolor ac adipiscing amet bibendum
nullam, massa lacus molestie ut libero
nec, diam et, pharetra sodales eget,
feugiat ullamcorper id tempor eget id vi-

POETIC DEVICES
1. Speaker- A person who delivers a
speech or a lecture.
2. Diction- The choice and use of words
and phrases in speech or writing.
3. Imagery- Visually descriptive or figura-
tive language used especially in literary
work.XXXX
4. Allusion- The practice of making such
references especially as an artistic de-
vice.
5. Simile- The figure of speech involving
the comparison of one thing with an-
other thing of a different kind. (example:
He was as strong as a lion)
6. Personification- A figure used to repre-
sent an abstract quality.
7. Metaphor- A thing regarded as repre-
sentative or symbolic of something else,
esp. something abstract.
8. Refrain- A repeated line or number of
lines in a poem or song, typically at the
end of each verse. XXX
9. Symbol- It is something itself, and it
also suggests something deeper.
10. stanza- a group of line like a para-
graph
11. alliteration- The occurence of the
same letter or sound at the beginning of
the words
12. onomatopoeia-a form of a word from
a sound associated with what is named
13. enjambment- the continuation of one
line to another without breath XXX

14. connotation- an idea or feeling that a
word invokes for a person
15. denotation- the primary meaning of a
word
16. euphemism-indirect word or expres-
sion for one too harsh or blunt when re-
ferring to something unpleasant or em-
barrassing.

Black out poetry is when you take a
dark maker/pen and black out every-
thing around what you want to show.

till they find a tree
i cannot write these
i am being sarcastic
I really like these
A Haiku is a poem that has
lines that a certain amount
of syllables
5 for the first line
7 for the second and then
5 for the last line

I am crazy and grateful
I wonder about the ocean
I hear music
I see my dreams
I want to get good grades

I pretend to be famous
I feel happy
I touch the clouds
I worry about my grades
I cry about my good friends that have passed a way

I understand my friends problems
I say i believe in the power of you and I
I dream about life and what it could be
I try my best
I hope I get far in life
