2. AUDIENCE
• My movie will be G (general audience/all ages admitted) rated but
my target audience will mainly be sixteen year olds as the plot is
quite complex and could classify as being emotional at times. The
complexity of the plot might require one to think extra before they
can actually fully understand it, and this would also be the reason for
the age suggestion.
• There is no age restriction as there will be no harmful or sexual
content in the movie and it will be suitable for anyone interested.
3. …
• Due to there not really being an age restriction I decided to look at
the age I believe it would appeal to the most. I for instance looked at
the Taken movies and found that for Taken 2 certain scenes were cut
out before it was allowed to get 12a rating in the UK and was
allowed to be shown in cinemas. This made me realise that children
are quite fragile and little things can have greater impact on them
than you would expect them to. I also knew that I would have to take
into consideration limiting nudes, violence etc. in order for my film
to be able to pass as a G rated movie.

4. TODAY’S GENERATION
• I would also have to find out about what today’s generation really
was looking for when watching a crime thriller movie.
What is crime thriller
• A hybrid type of genre, meaning that it is partly crime fiction and
partly thriller
• Often focus on criminals/crime rather than investigators (i.e. police)
• Includes serial killers/murders, chases, kidnapping etc.
