1. Description of Activities<br />Cleaning and Disinfecting of pens<br />All of the Materials & Equipment’s such as the feeder, waterier, curtains are removed and wash with a <br />Disinfectant to kill any harmful organisms. These materials are placed in the sun to dry. The litter on the floor is then removed and placed in sacks & taken to a compost heap. The mesh wires & roof of the pen is then cleaned with the aid of a broom and bush. The floor of the pen is wash with water and Disinfectant. Then the brush was used to paint the walls with white lime.<br />Resting of pen<br />The pen was rested for a couple of weeks so the rest of the bacteria’s the remain in the pen could starve and die.<br />Preparation of Nursery<br />After the pen was rested, all the curtains, feeders and waters was place back into their correct position inside the pen. A light bulb with the right wattage was placed inside the pens for the set of broilers and clean fresh sawdust was placed on the floor.<br />Feeding<br />The chicks was fed everyday a balance ration of feed for them to survive. Water was given to them also.<br />
