Profile
I'm a fair person, flexible and tolerant about other people's beliefs and values. In all my
work places I have maintained excellent relations with colleagues and business partners.
I'm also a very technical person, as IT has been an important part of my life, starting as a
hobby, became my passion and work experience. I handled from OS installations, software
instalments, anti-virus operations, Data recovery to Networking, remote support etc.
My work experience consists in both Public Administration and Private Sector, being aware
of subtle differences between these two environments.
Fluent in English and Romanian, with good understanding of French, I find it easy to
communicate in another language, almost the same as in my native one.
Driving license since 2009, without any incidents on personal or company car.
My intention is to remain in the United Kingdom – as UK is such a beautiful country – and
work in IT - the sector that I love.
Key Strengths and Skills
Technicality
• At my last position, I took on the IT Manager position of a company with around 80
employees that managed imports and distribution of school supplies all over the country.
We had 4 other offices and sell points, that I handled remotely; we had a Sales Force
supported by Sales Force Automation, governed by an ERP Solution. I was also
responsible with negotiating contracts with suppliers of services (Internet, telecom, office
supplies).
• Before that I organized and maintained the Public Point of Access to Information during the
nationwide project Knowledge Based Economy.
• I also have experience with surveillance software, used in schools, applications that monitor
computer activity.
Adaptive and Flexible
• Even though at start I was hired just to be an IT Admin, during my work at the Mayor's office
I was also an important help to local youth, as I tutored IT basics classes, using materials
developed by myself. In this way, kids that graduated from rural schools in the area were
accustomed to newer technologies and ways of teaching that they encountered when they
went on High schools in bigger cities.
• Also, I was involved in organizing of local celebrations, school performances, even musical
competitions for the local students, from rural areas, that were not so fortunate to have
access to facilities like the one studying in bigger schools in major cities.
• Changing from Public Administration to Private Sector, a private and dynamic company,
proved to be an enjoyable and also satisfactory experience at a personal level. I got used to
new conditions of work, different schedule, colleagues and chain of command. I was put in
charge of hardware acquisitions, negotiating contracts directly with suppliers for telephony,
internet and others.

many different personalities and complex situations I managed to provide a high quality service by
understanding other people's viewpoints.
Changing work places and countries put me in contact with different colleagues, different
mentalities, that taught me that every person matters, and that communication is a skill that you
practice and develop in time and in different environments.

• Re-negociation of mobile communications contract and getting a 15% decrease in costs for
more services (more data connections and cellphone numbers).

• Started as IT Administrator for a new project, spread nationwide (Knowledge Based
Economy, financed by the World Bank and Romanian Government) aimed at providing

access Internet, to obtain information regarding European Projects (finances); I was
providing training and guidance.
• In 2011 I was also assigned at the front desk of the authority, the first contact point for every

decided the contracts for different projects going on across the appertaining villages.

Voluntary Work
Youth Association “Strajerii Barului”
Co-founder,
2009-2013
• I was co-founder of the Youth Association Strajerii Barului, which could translate as Baru's
Watchers, a group of enthusiastic young people with age ranging from 13 to 30 years. We
created it in order to bring young people together, to show them different and more
constructive ways of using their spare time than the ones they were accustomed with, as
living in a small village with a limited range of choices.
• We got involved in environmental projects like “Let's do it! Romania”, during which we've
cleaned the surrounding areas and rivers of plastic garbage thrown away, while talking to
people and explaining the best ways and the importance of recycling.
• We restored to dignity two cemeteries, from the Second World War, that were left in
disarray, overgrown with bushes and trees.
