Designed in partnership with sporting bodies and community organisations, creating local
opportunities for disadvantaged Queenslanders into employment in the area of sport.
Program Outline:
16 week program
Combines coaching and officiating qualification and accreditation aligned to their
interest and positions available locally.
Direct engagement in the classroom and on field linked with sporting programs
and local associations.
Employment placements in paid work whilst studying
Students will study sports development in participation with sporting National
Governing Bodies, clubs and other organisations.

Student Contribution Fee
This represents the total sum of essential training costs including: tuition fees, services fees,
material fees and all other costs associated with delivering the training and awarding the
qualification to the student. NOTE: This fee is waivered for Year 12 Graduates
Concession
The participant holds a Health Care concession card or Pensioner concession card issued
under Commonwealth law, or is the partner or a dependant of a person who holds a Health
Care concession card or Pensioner concession card, and is named on the card; or
The participant holds an official form under Commonwealth law confirming that the
participant, his
Or her partner or the person of whom the person is dependant, is entitled to concessions
under a health
Care concession card or pensioner concession card; or the participant is an Aboriginal or
Torres Strait Islander person.
Student Eligibility
Must not hold or be currently undertaking a
certificate level III or higher qualification
Must be 15 years of age or older
Finished secondary school or left school
Be an Australian citizen or permanent
resident residing in Queensland
Can be employed or unemployed
NOTE: Prospective students are only eligible for
one subsidised training place for a Certificate
level III qualification.
