Explanatory Notes
This is a joini School Certificate (SC) and General Certificate of Education (GCE) statement of results. Cambridge lnternational Examinations
reserves the right to amend the information on this statement. Results will be confirmed by the issue of certificates_
SC Result Pass indicates that the candidate has achieved the School Certificate. The SC result is also reported as a Gracle Aggregate in the range
6 to 54, where a Grade Aggregate of 6 represents the best possible performance.
GCE Award indicates that the candidate has not met the criteria for the SC because the number or level of pass grades obtained is not sufficient.
The GCE Award is also represented as a Grade Aggregate in the range 6 to 54.
No Award indicates that the candidate has obtained UNGRADED or NO RESULT in every syllabus taken.
SC grades ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SlX, SEVEN, EIGHT or NINE indicate the standard reached, grade ONE being the highest and
grade NINE the lowest. The corresponding GCE Ordinary Level (O Level) grades A-(a.), A(a), B(b), C(c), D(d) or E(e) atso indiiate the standard
reached, grade A.(a.) being the highest and grade E(e) the lowest. UNGRADED indicates inat tfre candiOate has failed to reach the standard
required for grade E(e).
NO RESULT indicates that a result cannot be issued because of absence for the whole or part of the examination in the syllabus or because of a
decision not to issue a result for some other reason.
PENDING indicates that a result cannot be issued at present but will follow in due course.
English Language oral Test results are reported separately on a S-point numerical scale, grade 1(oNE) being the highest and grade s(FlvE) the
lowest. Candidates who fail to reach the minimum standard for grade S(FIVE) will not receive an Oral Test result. GCf O Levil results in other
Language syllabus Oral Tests are reported as passed or failed in the Oral Test.
A statement indicating that a candidate has passed the Oral Test will be repoded on certificates provided the overall syllabus result in the subject
concerned is grade EIGHT E(e) or higher"
Component grades 1 to g indicate the standard reached in each component of the examination, grade 1 being the highest and grade g the lowest.
