This document provides information on financial management courses being offered at the Frederick P. Herring Recreation Center. The introductory course in January and February teaches financial planning, budgeting, goal setting, and preparing financial statements to operate a business. The March and April course teaches how to prepare a business plan, budget using Excel, and financial statements and a marketing plan. The capstone course in May has students apply what they've learned to complete a full business plan, financial statements, and a financial budget, and learn next steps. All courses are on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm with limited registration.

You will learn about financial planning, budgeting, goal setting and preparing financial reports to
operate a business. You will learn about balance sheets, profit and loss and cash flow statements and
how to make better business decision.

You will learn how to prepare a business plan, use Excel spreadsheets to setup a budget. You will
prepare financial statements and a marketing plan.

You will put everything together what you have learned from the previous classes. You will be able to
complete a business plan, financial statements and a financial budget plan. You will learn what to do
next after completing those steps.
