This document provides an overview and schedule for the September 1-28, 2014 issue of Inside Pitch, the Tampa Bay Rays' newsletter. It discusses community partnerships between the Rays and local organizations to support education. It also profiles Madison Bumgarner's rare feat of hitting two grand slams in one season with one against batterymate Buster Posey. Finally, it announces the upcoming opening of Ava, a new Italian restaurant in Tampa co-owned by Rays manager Joe Maddon and restaurateur Michael Stewart.
