CLIL UNIT PLAN
NAME: Analysis of objects
SUBJECT: Objects
TITLE: Representation of objects
YEAR: 2016
Step 1: The driving question.
 Let’s write down your driving question and why you think this is important.
Relationship between objects and technology
I think it is important because with this question we make an overview on the subject
and the students can see the importance of technology in our day to day
Step 2: The preview of the whole unit
 Preview the whole unit. Take a look at the title, headings, and captions to
obtain 15-20 basic vocabulary that must be internalized by my pupils at the end
of the unit.
Technical drawing, drawing tools, the views of an object: plant, elevation and profile,
analysis, representation, object, freehand, the basic norms of the technical drawing: UNE
norms, square, bevel, semicircle, ruler, compass.
Step 3: The easiest and hardest section of your unit.
The hardest: representation of objects
The easiest: relationship between objects and technology
Why not CLIL?

Step 4: Law aspects.
The LOMCE defines 7 competences: (let’s define some aspects of each competences)
 Linguistic competence.
 Mathematical competence and basic competences in science and technology.
 Digital competence.
 Learning to learn.
 Social and civic competences.
 Initiative and entrepreneurship.
 Cultural awareness and expression.
I will include these LOMCE standards in my unit plan: (try to find it into your Autonomous
Community curriculum)
1. Communicative competence linguistic
2. Artistic and cultural competence competitions methodological
3. Processing and digital competence
4. Mathematical competence
5. Learning to learn Competitions personal
6. Competition autonomy and personal initiative
7. Knowledge and interaction with the physical world
8. Social and civic competence
Step 5: Content
 Which interdisciplinary subjects could be connected to in this unit? Why and
how?
• Mathematics: symbolism
• Language: oral presentations.
• Education for citizenship and human rights: responsible use of IT resources.
• With all subjects: use of ICT resources.

Steps 6: Soft Skills.
 I will include these soft skills in my unit plan:
 Knowing technical drawing.
 Identify the different drawing tools.
 Describing and drawing the views of an object: plant, elevation and profile.
 Knowing The basic norms of the technical drawing: UNE norms
 Drawing elementary geometrical shapes, sketch and outlines and of plan simple
in 2 dimensions and elevation, plant and profile to freehand and dimensioned.
 Knowing work in group.
