and I suppose the winery itself
is one of the largest in Victoria
and a pretty substantial asset
close to Melbourne, so it will be
an interesting campaign.”
The Ballan Rd property
comprises more than 22ha of
land and has a storage capacity
of 18 million litres of wine, a
crush capacity of 15 tonnes and
two bottling lines capable of
almost 14,000 bottles an hour.
Vince Littore’s parents,
Mario and Aurora Littore,
migrated to Melbourne from
the Mediterranean island of
Lipari in 1953.
The couple and their four
sons eventually moved to Mil-
dura where they started their
first vineyard.
Littore Family Wines
started supplying wines to
Coles nine years ago and since
then has grown to become the
company’s largest private-
label wine supplier.
In September it was recog-
nised by Coles with the Out-
standing Service Supplier of
the Year award.
ANIMAL lovers across the region will gather next weekend for the
annual Jirrahlinga Cup to help critters like Spunky the baby koala.
The spring carnival-themed event at the Novotel Hotel on October 30
is a key fundraiser for the Barwon Heads sanctuary and will
feature phantom races, fashions on the field and auctions. Money
raised will go towards the running of Jirrahlinga and its vital support
services. For more information, visit facebook.com/jirrahlinga or

Presto’s big-five movie deal fights Netflix
PRESTO has fired the first
shot in the 2016 streaming
wars by locking up five of this
year’s top 10 movie titles.
Presto has announced that
it will provide local subscribers
with access to blockbusters
Jurassic World, Furious 7, Min-
ions, Mission Impossible —
Rogue Nation, and Fifty Shades
of Grey. The year’s No.11
movie, Terminator: Genisys will
also roll out on Presto.
The big-money deal is a
sure sign that the war between
Presto and rivals Netflix, Stan,
and Quickflix is reaching boil-
ing point.
Netflix will secure Avengers:
Age of Ultron, Inside Out, Cin-
derella and Ant Man. Stan will
get San Andreas.
Netflix dominates the Aus-
sie Streaming Video on De-
mand (SVOD) market with
more than a million viewers —
about 10 times its competitors.
“The SVOD market is still
being skewed by free trial of-
fers but one thing is certain —
people are constantly looking
for fresh content and if they
don’t get it, they will re-evalu-
ate their subscription,” media
analyst Steve Allen said.
Presto TV CEO Shaun
James said: “We are thrilled to
continue the tradition of sup-
plying … the best and biggest
Hollywood blockbusters.”

GEELONG-owned business
Littore Wine Group is in
receivership, with its winery in
the Moorabool Valley and
other assets across the country
on the market.
Ferrier Hodgson has been
appointed as the receiver for
the company, which was only
last month recognised on the
national stage at a Coles
awards ceremony.
Idyll Vineyards and Littore
Family Wines, companies
owned by the Littores, are also
under external administration.
Company partner Vince
Littore was not able to confirm
the circumstances leading up
to the company moving into
receivership, but said he hoped
the situation would be resolved
quickly.
“We’re a local Geelong fam-
ily who keep working hard on
our businesses, and we believe
everything will pan out,” Mr
Littore said.
Colliers International has
been appointed by Ferrier
Hodgson to sell the Ballan Rd
winery, with national director
Tim Altschwager saying there
had been several inquiries
since the property went on the
market last week.
“Interest will come from
domestic, from current wine
industry people and then dom-
estic investors and some over-
seas interest,” Mr Altschwager
said.
“They’re very good assets
