Are you helping your kids
build a rock solid faith?
God is very clear in scripture: Parents
are responsible for their child’s spiritual training.
While the church is a great support and willing
resource, it cannot impact your child for Jesus in
the powerful way moms and dads were meant
to — each and every day.
“These commandments that I give you today are to
be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home and when
you walk along the road, when you lie down and
when you get up.”
—Deuteronomy 6:6-9.
Awana is a proven program to help you
intentionally train your kids to follow Jesus with
their whole heart for the rest of their lives. Study
with your children. Memorize scripture with
them. Discuss their verses. Volunteer in their
club. Focused on God’s Word, Awana builds
Godly character in your kids and you!
Awana is an international ministry for children
with thousands of clubs worldwide. It’s a lot like
Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, but instead of cook-
ing or camping, Awana kids are learning God’s
Word and how to make it real in their own lives.
God says in Isaiah 55:11 that His Word will
accomplish the purpose He has set for it, but
what is the purpose of God’s Word?
1. Salvation (John 3:16)
2. Discipleship (2 Timothy 3:16, Psalm 119:11)
Be purposeful about your child’s spiritual
development — join Awana!

2. PUGGLES (2-year-olds)
Our youngest Awana students are bright and
curious. They are developing an understanding of
the world around them and
have an instinctual love for
God and His creation.
Puggles enjoy basic
Bible truths through story,
song, puppets and play.
Lessons are built around
four precepts…
God made everything.
God saw that it was
good.
Give thanks to God.
Puggles meet in the CBC Nursery and are
taught by our professional staff. Light snacks are
served. Class size is limited so register early.
MUST BE 2 BY SEPT. 1 OF THE CURRENT YEAR.
CUBBIES (3 & 4-year olds)
Preschool is a great time to build a strong
foundation in scripture.
Cubbies drink in God’s
Word by learning to
memorize short verses
with their parents at
home.
Those verses are
emphasized at club
through large group
story time, songs,
snacks, crafts and
games. The entire
Cubbie night centers around their memory verse.
Cubbies learn who Father God and Jesus are,
and earn badges as a reward for hiding God’s
Word in their hearts!
Intentional discipleship through God’s Word!
SPARKS (Kinder—2nd
grade)
In Sparks, kids are
setting the corner-
stone for their lives
as Christians. Like
Cubbies, Sparks
learn memory verses
from their handbooks
at home with mom
and dad. They recite those verses for their
volunteer leaders at Awana to earn their pilot
wings, jewels and badges.
Game time keeps the evening lively, as kids learn
the Biblical realities of following instructions and
obeying rules. Then, it’s off to large group time for
praise, worship and a practical lesson from God’s
Word at Council Time.
Dynamic speakers not only challenge kids to start
living out God’s Word, but each week, the Gospel
is presented in a clear and concise way. Kids truly
meet Jesus at Awana!
T&T (3rd
—6th
grades)
T&T stands for Truth & Training and that is
exactly what is happening! Kids are building their
faith through Bible memorization, Bible study
lessons and practical application of God’s Word
from their handbooks.
In T&T, kids not only learn how to use the Bible,
they get the answers to life’s biggest questions…
Who is God? Who is Jesus? The Holy Spirit?
How can I be saved and go to Heaven?
Why should I go to church or believe the Bible?
Why should I keep myself pure?
How does God want me to live my life?
Again, kids earn awards for completing handbook
lessons and memorizing Bible verses.
Game time helps enforce Biblical principals of
working together and consequences for disobeying
rules. The evening ends with a Council Time
message from God’s Word designed to turn hearts
toward Jesus and help kids make wise decisions to
follow His Word for a lifetime and beyond!
TREK (7th
& 8th
grades)
Junior High is a tough
time for kids, but God’s
Word can equip them to
defend their ever building
faith. Handbook lessons,
memory verses and
Council Time focus on
discipleship.
Instead of games and
awards, Trek kids have
earned the right to be
Student Leaders. Trek
Student Leaders help younger kids in Cubbies,
Sparks and Games. Serving is an exciting step to
becoming a rock solid follower of Jesus, making
good, positive life decisions.
JOURNEY (9th
—12th
grades)
Awana at CBC would be very difficult without our
High School Student Leaders. While these teens
are still learning verses and completing handbook
lessons, they take a lead role in teaching Cubbies,
Sparks and T&T students.
Journey provides reinforcement of Biblical
principles through building a strong Christian world-
view.
Studies show that kids who have completed six
(6) years of Awana or more are 92% more likely to
continue going to church as adults and 74% more
likely to serve regularly in their church.
