Movember Campaign
What is it?
Any employee that wants to participate can shave their faces
clean on November 1st and then proceed to grow out their
mustaches for the rest of the month. Assuming it will be
mostly men, the ladies could also wear fake mustaches and
give style advice.
1. Reduce the stigma of boys’
and men suffering from a
mental health condition
across all stages of life to
enable them to step forward
to seek the help and care of
health care professionals
2. Raise awareness and
knowledge of boys’ and
men’s mental health
concerns through education.
3. Define and develop
interventions (e.g. social,
communication, education,
and advocacy) which lead to
the prevention of mental
illness or enable early
recognition and treatment
among boys and men.
 It would be a great way to not only contribute to the cause
but also provide charitable contributions to our community
and the mental health community as a whole.
 This would be a great way to kick start our new regional
social media branding initiative.
 We can get a head start on our sister facilities, unless we are
feeling generous and want to invite them to join.
 Create a positive Media Buzz for SBHS
 It would also be a FUN activity for everyone from
leadership down to participate in.
There are several ways we can go about this
 We can create a team at Movember.com and
invite all of our team members to create
profiles and join our team. We then can use our
team website to ask for and collect donations.
 We can take pictures of every mustache(real or
fake) on our team, post them to our Facebook
page and continue to update throughout the
month as the mustaches get thicker for some
and more interesting for others. We could then
promise to donate a certain amount of money
to local community mental health agencies if
we get a certain amount of likes of pictures and
the SBHS page itself. This would bring
awareness to SBHS by driving traffic to our
Facebook page while also creating positive buzz
for SBHS.
 We can use our Facebook page to post
about our Movember.com team page
and encourage people to donate. We
can also encourage people to like our
page and photos because, since we
are donating for likes, it is like they
are donating to a good cause just by
clicking the “Like” button.
 We can interview our staff and
leadership team members about their
mustaches(real or fake) and how they
are creating awareness. We could
then post it to our social media
profiles or write an article and submit
it to a publication.
