Solution:
Training
Web based training is now delivered on a schedule to existing
employees and automatically as part of an orientation program
for new hires. Assessments for both web and live training to
confirm attendance and that learning has occurred happen
seamlessly. The administrative burden of managing the
documentation of training and entering data into spreadsheets
has been lifted.
The cloud based technology has also transformed the culture
of the employees. Physicians now have a platform where they
are motivated to develop their own content and distribute it
individually to those in relevant roles.
Compliance
The Compliance administrator now has a central repository to
find documentation for any employee. The record keeping is
automated and in real time. The hospital can quickly adapt
as new regulations occur. Maintaining compliance in a rapidly
changing business environment has also created the benefit of a
“better night sleep” for the executive team.
Budget
The typical return of $4 for every $1 spent on our software was
easily documented by the savings of 2 months of administrative
tasks. The Compliance Administrator is now able to refocus on
more strategic tasks.
Challenge: A medical clinic operating a Level II Trauma Center, acute care
hospitals and outpatient services with 3,500 employees in multiple locations is
presented with increased regulatory compliance documentation requirements. A
Compliance Administrator and a temporary assistant would set aside two months
each year to manage training for current and new employees. The process and
its documentation was manually delivered and supported by lots of paper and
a home grown Access database. Personnel records for an employee were often
