This document is a resume for Christopher Menzies-Wilson detailing his education and experience. He received a Masters in Engineering Science from New College, University of Oxford with First Class Honors. His technical experience includes projects designing an offshore wind turbine and testing a novel method of air injection. He also tutored math and physics and worked for New Zealand Post.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
Final year project, design and test novel method of air injection to delay separation. 2015
• Project made extensive use of software such as LabView, SolidWorks and Matlab.
• Designed and built wind tunnel test rig from scratch. Gained experience with National
Instruments hardware, micro controllers, 3D printing and data analysis.
• Immensely enjoyed the research component and hope to continue this in industry.
Third year team project, design an offshore wind turbine. 2014
• Responsible for fluid dynamics and control system design.
• Gained significant insight into the necessary design process before construction.

• Improved technical French to the point where I was given the opportunity to travel to
Germany with Sybermat’s head design engineer to act as an interpreter.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Tutoring Maths and Physics and working for New Zealand post. 2016
• Teaching students aged 15 to 25 across a range of mathematical abilities and courses.
• Funded travelling and mountaineering thoughout Asia and New Zealand.
NUCO travel (ski holiday provider), French speaking incident support representative. 2014
• Acting as a contact point for injured students and French medical staff. Dealing with large
insurance claims for medical bills incurred due to injuries on the mountain.
• Managing large groups of students. Required to be proficient in French.

• While at school I set up a company importing bike parts from China.
• My father took over the business when I left for university. I have stayed involved with the
company during my holidays as it continues to thrive.
OTHER SKILLS AND INTERESTS
IT: Proficient in Matlab and have pursued my own interests in C, C++ and Swift.
Experienced with SolidWorks, modelling and detailing to a high standard.
I am also comfortable with research tools such as Labview; National Instruments
hardware and micro controllers.
Language: English - native speaker, French - proficient.
Sport: Captain of University freestyle ski team competing at a national level.
Keen ski mountaineer, completing climbs and multi day tours in three continents.
Played for New College rugby and hockey teams throughout my degree.
