What is a Basilisk?
 A Basilisk is a lizard
 It lives in rainforests
Dangers To Basilisks
 Humans are the biggest dangers to Basilisks they make
hats out of their skin
 Snakes and birds eat Basilisks
Special things about Basilisk
 Basilisks are amazing lizards
 They can actually run on water!
 They are amphibians
How do they do that?
 The question is how can they walk/run on the surface
of the water
1:They are super light
 A man who weighed 200 pounds saw a basilisk
running 5 miles per hour, he thought if he ran 5 miles
per hour on water he could run on water then he
realized that he was heavier and found out that he
needed to go 65 miles per hour to walk on water like a
basilisk
How do they do that?
 2:Speed
 Basilisk move their legs into the water to create air
bubbles, they run very fast to make sure the bubbles
do not pop, the air bubbles keep them afloat
 A man tied rackets on to his shoe and started running
with a man under giving air bubbles, and he was
AFLOAT for a long time then he sunk
How do they do that?
 3:Fringes
 Fringes hold on to air bubbles to keep them afloat
Afloat water insect
 Another incredible insect called water striders also has
the ability to walk on water for two reasons
 1:Lightness
 2:Speed
Thank you for your kind attention!!!
