SlideShare a Scribd company logo
Reading through chapters 3 and 4, I truly agree with the statement, “As technology has become more
advanced, users require more, not less, assistance” (p 26).
As the only elementary school librarian I am willing to work on the required skills of:
1. Learning about technology
2. Being involved with technology in your school
With that being said, here is my question. How do I become more involved with our technology when our
IT person is very possessive of our use of technology and is impatient when working with the elementary
staff?
I know the lack of technology and technology skills is a detriment to the students, and I want to integrate
more technology skills in the library curriculum. I feel that if I could be more involved and trained in more
technology skills, I would be a more effective librarian for not only the students, but for the elementary staff
as well.

Technology Chapters 3 & 4
