Mike Godbehere
As president of GCON Custom
Homes, Mike Godbehere is
the vision behind many of our
custom home concepts. An
Arizona native, he received a
Bachelor of Science degree in
Construction Management from
Arizona State University. Mike
plays a personal role in all design management activities
to ensure each of our homes is managed to GCON
Custom Homes high level of standards and exceeds
our clients’ expectations.
Under Mike’s guidance, GCON Custom Homes has
grown rapidly and gained a reputation for extraordinary
workmanship, superior client service and efficient project
delivery systems including intensive cost controls and
strict adherence to aggressive home building time lines.
Earning his LEED professional accreditation
in 2009, Mike applies those principles and
cost-saving techniques to all homes.
As a member of Leadership West Class XIV and
Honorary Commander for the 607th Air Control
Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, Mike maintains
an active role in the local community, dedicated to
promoting the advancement of the West Valley.
Robert “BJ” Copeland
A seasoned custom home
builder with over 15 years
of construction experience,
BJ Copeland brings his
comprehensive background
in luxury residential projects
to the GCON Custom
Homes Team. He coordinates
all aspects of the planning, designing, estimating,
and construction of our custom home process. His
successful track record has been developed by
repeatedly completing projects of the highest quality
– on time and within budget – while fostering strong
and consistent relationships amongst GCON Custom
Homes, our subcontractors and our valued clientele.
Prior to joining GCON Custom Homes, BJ worked for a
large local general contractor for over five years as the
superintendent of field operations. In his early years, BJ
was a partner in a 250-employee framing company.
BJ has also obtained the OSHA 30-hour
certification and has achieved LEED
professional credentials.
BJ is heavily involved in the community – serving as the
chair for the Fiesta Bowl Committee, coaching Little
League Baseball, club sport teams, and much more.
Mike Murphy
Mike Murphy is a 28-year
veteran in the construction
industry. He was born and
raised in Ohio, attended
college in West Virginia
where he majored in
Business Administration,
then moved to Arizona
to begin his lengthy career in construction.
Mike has a wife of 28 years, three grown children
and two grandchildren. Mike’s scope of experience
began and continues to be with custom home
building. Having built over 25 custom homes, Mike
prides himself on working closely with clients to
achieve their needs and wants in building their
dream home.
Devoting his entire career to building homes,
Mike’s past has included company ownership,
operations management, project management,
project supervision, and design/development
consulting. His passion for building custom houses
that someone will call home remains high on his
“feel good list.” He is committed to turning clients’
dreams into realities.
