The WSO2 ecosystem consists of several types of identities with different characteristics. Among them are customer identities, open-source community identities and the employee identities. The objective of this project was to design and implement a secure, state of the art identity and access management (IAM) system using WSO2 technology. There are many systems in WSO2 that require authentication, authorization and provisioning. Users have to maintain many complex passwords; administrators have to manage a large number of authorizations and provisioning. Another problem with current architecture is that it is tightly bound to email addresses. If the user changes the email address, his identity will be lost. This session will discuss how we built a state of the art identity and access management program that addresses the above problems using WSO2 Identity Server.

When it comes to building large server-focused apps the solutions to this problem have been tried and tested. But, how do we achieve this when it comes to HTML5 single page apps? BladeRunnerJS is an open source developer toolkit and lightweight front-end framework that has helped the company I work for (Caplin Systems) ensure that a 200k LoC JavaScript codebase hasn’t become a tangled mess of unstable spaghetti code (with bacon bits). This codebase is then delivered to customers, along with around 50k LoC example functionality for them to build upon, and they're expected not to turn that into a tangled ... you get the idea. In this talk you'll learn about the main concepts we have applied, how we have applied them - and how you can too - to achieve what might sound like the impossible.

The Need for a More Effective Penetration Test” Generally, reviewing a mobile application for security vulnerabilities include areas such as local storage, cryptographic usage, mobile traffic analysis, black box static analysis, etc. The methods and tools which are typically used to conduct these reviews are outdated, difficult to properly configure and/or use, and in many instances provide an incomplete picture. The easiest way sometimes would be to review the application while it is running, as it would provide a better understanding of the application’s behavior. However, debugging tools such as “gdb”, “jdb/jdwp”, and “adb” require significant manual time to analyze the application. And if we have to change the application’s normal behavior for bypassing any security controls, we have to decompile the application, edit the code, and rebuild the application. In this presentation, we will understand more effective methods of conducting runtime analysis on both iOS and Android applications, utilizing tools which monitor runtime behavior. We will also cover how hooking/runtime tools like “cycript” and “MobileSubstrate” work, and briefly discuss how these can be used to bypass controls such as built-in application safeguards, jailbreak detection, and certificate pinning. In addition, we will also discuss venues of attack vectors which may open up while testing the application at runtime. We will aim to deduce that, by including runtime analysis as part of our penetration testing methodology, we will save time while performing it more effectively.

In the early stages, Alan Turing contributed to the field by defining intelligence as the ability of a being to respond to certain questions intelligently, proposing what is now known as the Turing Test to evaluate the presence of intelligent behavior in machines. As the decades progressed, AI evolved significantly. The 1980s focused on machine learning, teaching computers to learn from data, leading to the development of models that could improve their performance based on their experiences. The 1990s and 2000s saw further advances in algorithms and computational power, which allowed for more sophisticated data analysis techniques, including data mining.
