2. • This Example shows how
much drugs can affect your
body, it shows the change it
makes through time. This
advert is promoting how bad
drug use is especially in the
community.
• This example in my
opinion is very clever as
they have spelt the word
‘Family’ using cocaine,
then there is a line going
through where the
cocaine has been used.
This insinuates the family
being broken and used.

3. • This poster is very creative and has been
well though about. The message is spoken
through the words but also the image. They
have made the words bold to stand out to
the audience and the image they have
included tells the story the words are saying
and adds more as the hands are holding a
higher class drug.
• This example shows that’s
people live normal lives until
drugs enter their lives. It ruins
and destroys family's.

4. This advert site is the most informative
site used by thousands of people.
I think this poster is trying to get the
message across to parents that in
todays society, young people know
more about drugs than they do and that
is not right, they are trying to inform
adults to help the young and to
understand more about what’s going on
in their life and society.

5. Why do people take drugs
 Some people want to experiment.
 Some people are rebelling.
 Some people use it because they want to seem cool and to fit in
with other people either in college or school, even in friendship
groups.
 Some people use it as a pain relief, for either personal issues or
pain in their bodies.
 Some people have problems at home and use it as a way to get
away from their problems
 Some people sadly use it to end their lives and that’s what the
main cause of drugs is and it needs to stop, hence why they
advertise Anti-drugs.

6. • Up to 30,000 people a year die from smoking cannabis, this is an incredible
amount of people as this is classed as a low class drug.
• Up to 2,246 males were said to have died from cocaine use and up to 1,100
females, this number is pretty shocking as it is supposed to be illegal.
• In 2013 there were up to eight thousand deaths caused by an overdose of
heroin and in 2002 there were up to two thousand. The outstanding
difference of six thousand deaths is an incredible increase.
• People in the UK are prepared to pay up to fifty five pounds for an ounce of
cannabis. This is such a large amount of money to pay, the reason young
people don’t have money these days are because of the outstanding price
they have to pay for drugs. Also the dealers selling the drugs make a great
sum of money, this proves to young people that it’s a good business to go
into.

7. • The average price in the UK to buy cocaine is £42 per gram, this amazes me
on how much people are willing to spend. This drug ruins peoples lives so
much.
• On average people pay £11 for a 0.21 gram bag which is quite low and
explains why people use heroin. It basically promotes itself from the cheap
price people will pay.
• Cannabis has many different effect such as it being a hallucinogenic and
sedating drug. The effects it gives can either be good or bad. Using cannabis
can make people calm, relaxed, chilled or happy. It sometimes makes people
very happy, giggly and talkative. The drug can make you hungry which is
sometimes referred to a ‘the munchies’. Cannabis can cause feelings such as
panic, paranoia and anxiety. Some people can have two drags and feel ill, light
headed or faint.

8. • Taking cocaine can make the person taking it wide awake and confident.
The effects it has on people are thighs such as an increase in body temperature, it
reduces the feeling of being hungry, it makes the heart beast a lot faster and it can
also make people feel very very ill if they have too much in a night. The effects of
cocaine start after about two minutes and last for only ten minutes.
• Heroin is a drug that makes people feel warm and a better human being, a
larger amount can make people feel sleepy and relaxed. It slows down the way
the body works and can be used as an extremely strong pain-killer. When
people take their first dose of heroin it can make them vomit or dizzy. The
effects of heroin can last a few hours as its so strong, it is also important to not
use other drugs or alcohol in this time.
• The risks of taking heroin are things such as an overdose that can cause a
coma or death. It can cause tolerance if you take it so often, it can cause
damage to the veins and arteries.
• The risks of taking cannabis are it can cause schizophrenia, it affects the way
the brain works heavily, smoking cannabis before driving doubles the chance of
a crash, it increases the heart rate and effects blood pressure, smoking
cannabis when pregnant can increase the risk of the baby being smaller than
expected and can cause problems with the baby.

9. • The risks of cocaine are things such as overdoes’ causing death, it can
damage the cartilage in the nose from snorting it too much, it is a high risk for
people who have a heart condition or a high blood pressure. It can make
people depressed and run down, it can bring mental health problems out, if
you are pregnant and using cocaine it can damage the baby and can cause
a miscarriage. It can cause chest problems and it can begin to become an
expensive habit.
