1. Executive Summary
KATHARINE MORSE
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT INTERN, FALL 2015
SUPERVISOR: TONY DICKERSON AND PENNY REID
DEPARTMENT 4065
A s a Process Improvement Intern for the
Student A ffairs Business Office (SA BO), I
assimilated into a business office setting
and acquired skills that are needed when
working in an office environment. A long
with gaining daily office work skills, I
became familiar with meetings by
attending a weekly Process Improvement
and Training (PIT) Crew meeting. While
working at SA BO I was on the PIT Crew
and was given multiple projects to work
on which included completing two SA BO
Series presentations on my own, as well
as presenting them to employees across
the department. This internship has
helped me reach my goals by requiring me
to work on projects alone and to present
them as my own work.

Goals for Internship:
-Learn how to work in an
office setting
-Become comfortable with
presentations
-Be able to complete my
own projects that are
presentable to
professionals
Projects:
Completed a SABO Series presentation on how to complete I-9 forms
and presented it to department employees. I had to familiarize myself
with I-9 forms and be able to answer questions when needed.
Completed a SABO Series on how to enter non-position employees into
CUBS. Had to become knowledgeable in how CUBS works and be able to
present it smoothly to employees even though I did not have access
myself into CUBS. I became familiar with the process through
screenshots given to me by an employee.
Helped Penny process IDO forms by entering the important information
into a spreadsheet so Penny could quickly and accurately enter them
into CUBS.
