The newsletter provides an update on the Littleton yard and horses. Several changes were made to the yard team over the winter. Matt and Kate are now engaged to be married in June 2013. The horses have been quietly working on their training over the winter and are in good condition. Several horses are for sale. Upcoming events at the yard include clinics with top trainers and the installation of an equine hydrotherapy spa.

Newsletter previews Littleton yard's 2012 season
1. Newsletter February 2012
So we have nearly made it through winter without Littleton being turned into a winter wonderland, it may
still happen this weekend but we are so nearly there and out the other side of cold fingers and icy troughs.
We all let our hair down at the weekend at the hunt ball which was well supported and organised by many of
team Littleton. A record number of 615 guests was an amazing feat but for me that is the last big blow out
before the serious stuff begins. It means we are nearly at the start of the season!
Lots to report on though, there is no such thing as a ‘quiet’ season around here. The end of 2011 saw some
changes in faces on the yard, please see the team sheet below but safe to say I am delighted with the team we
have in place at the moment and they are a pleasure to work with every day and do a fantastic job with the
horses. The new year then got off to a bang with the exciting news that Matt and I are now engaged. After
nine and a bit years of pondering and procrastination (his words, not mine!) we are heading towards the land
of the grown ups! Watch this space for a date but it is looking like June 2013.
In regards to the horses they are all going well and having had some easy time at the end of the season they
have all been quietly working away on what they need the most and getting out to lots of various dressage
and jumping parties. Most of the string remains the same as last year, Daisy Crazy is not ready to hang up
her shoes yet, the youngsters Belofte and Boleybawn Ambassador are growing up and feeling fabulous and I
am delighted that I will get to do more with Cove Water this year and have picked up a new ride on the
exciting Deards Gold Rush. We also have some lovely horses in to sell at the moment, they are all ready for
new homes so please spread the word if you know of anyone looking, I have included some details below.
Other good news is that I have recently become supported by Voltaire Saddles, my new saddles arrive in the
next couple of weeks and I am super excited. They are a French based company with great experience and I
have been blown away by the product and the knowledge and service that are being offered, a package that
is depressingly hard to find in the saddlery industry! We have also had a change in feed supplier on the yard
and I am delighted to be working with Balanced horse feeds who have the horses looking in great condition
for this time of year. I am also excited to continue to work with Find Wine and Maple Arenas and Dogcam
sport will now be supporting my Equispy venture. For anyone that has missed it please have a look at
www.equispy.com and check out the helmet cam footage of me going xc. The website has over 50,000 hits
in its first nine months last year so hopefully this year will be bigger and better!
For any of you locals who come to Littleton often, do keep an eye on upcoming events and things going on.
In the next month alone we have a Fit To Ride lecture Demo with Jon Pitts and William Kennedy, a hunt
meet and many clinic with top trainers including ‘XC the safe way’ with Lucinda Green. Also the next
exciting project for LMEQ is the installation of an equine hydrotherapy spa, this should be in action by the
beginning of March so please bear it in mind if you have a horse rehabilitating or would like to use it
coinciding with a trip to the gallops or xc? I am going to have some very pampered ponies!
Looking forward to eventing and all that the season brings, hopefully see you all there!
