 Current Project: “The genetic basis of genotype-by-environment interactions of metabolic syndrome in Drosophila
melanogaster”
o Methods:mRNA extraction, measuring concentration with NanoDrop, gel electrophoresis, gel imaging
 Previous Project: “Influence of land use on Drosophila species diversity”
o Methods:PCR, gel electrophoresis, species identification via gene sequence,morphological analysis with
dichotomous key, data analysis, collecting wild flies, sexing flies, imaging flies
 Previous Project: Assisted with the grant project: “Identifying Genetic by environment effect on metabolic

o Sigma Aldrich triglyceride and glucose assays,Bradford protein assays,spectrophotometry, fly stock
