  3. Kandice Jacobs-Armstrong – is the author of On Creating Kandice: A Poetic Journey to Spirituality & Self-Discovery, a Christian-Inspirational collection of poetry, self- published in 2008 through iUniverse and endorsed by Nikki Giovanni - internationally known poet and (then) Distinguished Professor of English at Virginia Tech University. Following it’s release, Kandice quickly gained notice as an inspiring and thought-provoking facilitator/keynote speaker, as well as an unmistakably insightful poet. Kandice is a graduate of Texas Woman's University, from which she successfully completed a Bachelor's Degree of General Studies (with concentrations in English, Business and Sociology) - magna cum laude in 2010. Over the past 16 years, she has garnered considerable professional experience across multiple business environments – small business, schools, corporate and nonprofit organizations. However, the vast majority of her professional experience has been primarily focused in the arena of consulting -- providing publishing consulting; assisting small business start-ups; and assisting entrepreneurs in the process of restructuring their existing small business. Kandice is also a graduate of Florida State College at Jacksonville with an Associate of Science in Funeral Services. In Nov. 2014, she transitioned into a new field of continued service -- as a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer intern. With each family Kandice is privileged to service, she strives to gently yet effectively lead, guide, or advise in the midst of what can be the most chaotic time in the life of families. She is due to complete her internship this Nov. 2015 and prayerfully transition into full licensure as a Funeral Director/Embalmer. Despite her academic/professional success, Kandice firmly defines herself simply as a committed follower of Christ. She is a faithful member of the Northside Church of Christ, where she serves as an Evangelism teacher and on the Youth Ministry as a Bible Bowl Coach. After a five-year hiatus, Kandice has resumed writing and is currently engaged in developing a new book, Chosen for Greatness – focused on promoting the understanding that every human being has been created for greatness and inspiring the masses to find the courage to answer their greatness call!
