I finished this quilt in
November. It is made from
men's shirts. It measures
approximately 74 by 91
inches. I love blue and white
quilts!

Princess Quilt
I created this quilt for my almost 3 year old
granddaughter. I “tweaked” the Wanda
quilt pattern using the Tula Pink “True
colors” charm park. I then embroidered 10
Disney Princesses using my Brother
“Stellaire” embroidery machine.
She loved it!

Horse Collage Wall Hanging
I made this collage wall hanging for my
granddaughter for Christmas. It is from the
Bigfork Bay Cotton Company of Bigfork,
Montana.
My granddaughter competes in
hunter/jumper equestrian events with her
horse “Rolo.”

Baby Quilt
I made this baby quilt at the Fall
Retreat this year. It was really fun and
fast! Got it pieced in one day, quilted
it another day, cut into a circle and
bound on the 3rd day.
The pattern is from JayBird Quilts,
“Rookie of the Year”.

Andromeda Quilt
This quilt is called "Andromeda” and I
made it for my daughter's Christmas
gift. The pattern was created by LQG
member Scott Flanagan. My quilt
features 26 beautiful fabrics from Scott's
"Quilter's Guide To The Galaxy" product
line. Jo Pickett, from “in Stitches”, did an
amazing job custom quilting this project
for me.

“OH-MI” Quilt
I made this quilt for my brother and
sister-in-law who live in Ohio and go to
Michigan for vacation. I've been calling it
the “OH-MI” (oh my) quilt. I finished it in
time to bring it to them when I visited for
Thanksgiving.
I purchased the state blocks as panels a
couple years ago, knowing I wanted to
work them into a quilt. Each block has a
different free motion quilting pattern.
The design is my own, loosely based on
one I found online.

Quilted Vest
I made this quilted vest for my sister-in-
law for Christmas. I used a free pattern
from Purl Soho and the vest is made
with wool batting and flannel making it
toasty and warm.
Special thanks to Linda and Terry for
helping me fix a construction issue!

Buffalo Check Baby Quilt
I made this “buffalo check” quilt
using a free pattern online. A friend
is expecting a baby and I hand-
embroidered the baby's name on a
block.
Gail Fossman did some custom E2E
quilting to accommodate the
hand-embroidered block.

Buffalo Check Baby
Quilt....Take 2
This is the same free “buffalo
check” pattern. I had enough
leftover fabric to make a crib-
sized quilt for another expectant
mom.
This one was quilted by Becky
Ivanova.

Christmas Table Runner
I made this Nutcracker table runner
as a gift for a “White Elephant” party.
I used a Moda panel and cut out the
nutcrackers with their borders. I then
added the white with red snowflake
background and quilted it by
following the outline of the
nutcrackers.
It was fun to do...and got me in a
Holiday mood!
15. Community Outreach Quilts
Joann Villamarin and I (Monique Plamondon) had the pleasure of delivering quilts and pillow
cases last week to the Inn Between and the Safe Shelter of St Vrain.
The Inn Between is having a boiler issue in one of its building and they were extremely happy to
receive large quilts from us!
Amy of the Safe Shelter said a client had “burst into tears” when she was presented with one of
our quilts since she knew she never would be able to afford one!
Community Outreach donated 170 quilts this year, plus 73 pillow cases (courtesy of The Presser
Foot), Quilts for Kids made 50 quilts and BSB made 50 quilts! That’s a total of 270 quilts in 2022!
Please visit the website in January for Joann’s full report on Community Outreach, as well as the
reports from Bee So Brave (Paula Ball) and Quilts for Kids (Dawn Hunter & Jan Timmons).
16. Sew N Tell
I hope you enjoyed this month’s Sew N Tell presentation. A
big thank you to all who submitted projects!
Remember, the presentation will be available on the Guild’s
website for one month following tonight’s meeting.
