Kuwala Health Media held its 1st annual general meeting to discuss its cervical cancer awareness campaign and achievements from 2015-2016. The organization conducted a needs assessment in Mzuzu that found a lack of knowledge about cervical cancer in communities as well as limited screening services and resources. In response, Kuwala Health raised awareness through community workshops and media campaigns. They also initiated a vinegar donation drive and strengthened local health networks. Going forward, Kuwala Health will continue its capacity building efforts and collaborate with stakeholders to improve cervical cancer screening in Malawi.
