8/7/2011 talked to Mr. and Mrs. 1.00 We discussed the specific plans we had, when I could work with them, different types of jewelry I
Iaquinto about the project could make, we looked through different beading magazines to get ideas. We also started talking
about the difference between kids’ jewelry, teen jewelry, jewelry that would be worn at the workplace
and old lady jewelry. They gave me an assignment to do, which was to look for jewelry designs I
want to learn.
8/11/2011 looked up pictures for stuff I 0.75 Mrs. Iaquinto gave me magazines to look through and told me to pick out some projects I would like
want to make to do.
8/13/2011 Went to my first craft show. 1.5 Mr. Iaquinto and I walked around the show and we discussed the difference between good booth set
ups and bad booth set ups. We also talked about the importance of booth size and lighting. If the
lighting of the booth of the booth makes it hard for the customer to see the products, then the
customer will be less likely to go to your booth. The same goes for the size of your booth. If your
booth is small and crowded with stuff, then your potential customer will be less likely to shop with
you.
12/5/2011 Made first piece of jewelry. 2 Worked on my first project with Mrs. Iaquinto. Made two pairs of earrings and a necklace. The two
pairs of earrings were red bottles and skull and crossbones, and the necklace was blue with a blue
peace sign.
1/18/2012 learned how to make 2.5 I learned how to make pendants. She taught me how to make a basic loop. We also discussed how
pendants different sized pendants need different sized wire. For example, if it is a heavy pendent, you would
use a 16 gauge wire. If it were a smaller pendent you would use something like an 18 or 20 gauge
wire. I learned that the wire hardness determines what kind of gemstone you can hang from it. We
also made another pair of earrings, and a memory wire bracelet
2/4/2012 went to bead show 3 We went to my first bead show. We bought $100 worth of beads and charms. We discussed the
difference between good and bad deals, how shells are always big sellers, and we talked about
color combinations as well.

2/22/2012 learned how to use the thing- 3 Learned how to use the thing-a-ma-jig wire shaping kit. We tried three different shapes, and figured
a-ma-jig and worked on out which ones we liked the most. Figured out that the cross shape would make cute earrings and
display that the wire I had was just right to bend it around the pegs. Also, we worked on the board design for
the display. We sketched out what the gemstone healing property board will look like and made up a
name for my company and decided to make gifts for the three judges. We decided to make grizzly
bear key chains.
3/16/2012 Made key chains for the final 2.25 Mrs. Iaquinto showed me how to make key chains. From there, I made the other two key chains for
presentation and practiced the judges. I also practiced wire wrapping by making some earrings. I also worked on a Coca Cola
wire wrapping again on some bracelet for my final presentation.
earrings. I also designed and
crafted my final product with
Mrs. Sharon.
