2. I’m using a maths classroom for my first major scene in
the mockumentary. I decided to have the classroom
looking quite messy, this is so that it gives the
impression that this is a lower class school. The desks
are basic and cluttered with maths thick maths books
and broken calculators to give the idea that the
teachers would usually just make pupils use the text
books and make do with the worn calculators.
3. The mise en scene denotes a worn down,
unkempt classroom. This is important as I
need to get across that this school is a bad
learning environment. This shot shows a
point of view from the teacher’s desk.
Smaller features such as the graffiti on the
book, imply that the pupils are not very
disciplined and have no respect for their
education.
4. As with every maths classroom, there
has to be a lot of maths posters all over
the classroom. The broken paper border
also goes with my theme of a worn
down classroom as it shows the neglect
given by both staff and students to the
classroom.
