LABORATORY EXPERIENCE (Independent Research Projects)
• Conducted a bacterial inhibition project that tested the efficacy of commonplace
mouthwashes on the inhibition of Staphylococcus epidermidis
o Received 3rd Place Award in Group Category at Jersey Shore Science Fair
o Competed in Delaware Science Fair with this project
• Measured the Effect of the pH of the Environment on Planarian Regeneration at
20C by using a tissue culture lab to observe the regeneration of the cut planarian.
2. • Created Chick Embryonic Stem cells in Independent Research class. This was
done using a lab from Wards Scientific and the Tissue Culture lab.
• Creation of Rate Fetal Neuron Stem Cells using the tissue culture lab.

LEADERSHIP
NJ NCSY: grades 9-12
Active member in the youth group since ninth grade and was appointed the NJ
Regional President for the 2014-2015 year. My job as president has been to
facilitate programming in regional and help plan events for all 7 chapters. I am also
a part of my chapter board and I help create programming for the Englishtown
Chapter. I run meetings for the Regional Board and have also run a Leadership
Meeting (similar to a staff meeting) in which I briefed the leaders from the region on
the goals and expectations for the upcoming year. I am a NCSY JOLT Alumnus
(Jewish Overseas Leadership Training) and was able to use my leadership skills to
create programming for underprivileged teens in Europe. The summer program also
allowed me to learn a lot about leadership and explore who I am as a leader.
BTHS Sports and Activities Club: grade 11, 12
Founder and president of the BTHS Sports and Activities Club. I help run run 2-3
events a year through this club in which students stay after school to enjoy sports
3. and other activities that my club has set up. Events include: Sports Day (twice a
year), Powder Puff, and a basketball tournament at the end of the year barbeque.
BTHS Prom Committee: grade 11
Planned our joint junior-senior prom, organizing components such as: invitations,
centerpieces, and theme.
BTHS Information Sessions: grades 9, 10, 11
Was asked to lead groups, information panels, and tours for prospective students
during our school open houses.
Freshman Orientation Committee: grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Facilitated programming for incoming freshmen to help acclimate them to their new
school.
Tutoring in Math and Science: grade 9
Tutored struggling kids in my middle school.
SERVICE
Morganville EMT and Rescue Squad: grade 10,11,12
Maintain 16 riding hours a month in which I ride in the rig and help the EMT’s treat
the patients. I also learn medical techniques at meetings and often help treat the
patients when the injury is not serious.
Friendship Circle Walk for Friends: grade 10,11, 12
Cooked and served food at the food court before and after the walk.
Meals on Wheels: grade 10,11,12
Packaged platters of food twice for the hungy.
Temple Beth Am Aid: grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Help set up for temple events. This includes: serving food to guests, making and
putting up decorations, managing chairs before and after events, and running a
booth at the annual carnival.
