Northern Swedish Insurance Company Organizes North American Expansion

In a move that will create 120 jobs, Northern Swedish Insurance Company is launching its
products in the US with its first office set to open by midsummer in St. Paul, MN. Northern
Swedish offers insurance policies for all consumer needs such as car, home, renters, RV, and
other insurance packages.
In the U.S., Northern Swedish will sell its products through financial intermediaries by
submitting simple forms that provide standard pricing. This makes it much simpler for the
customer, and reduces the amount of delays in receiving quotes from the company. Quotes are
received within 24 hours of submission.
“In the past few years we’ve had excellent growth as a business,” explains Torinson. “This
growth has been greatly helped by our great products.”
Northern Swedish Insurance Company has operated in Scandinavia since 1863 offering
unparalleled insurance coverage. Expanding to the US is the first step to opening the door to
global expansion.
Chief Executive Rolf Torinson is from Sweden and has lived in the US for many years. His
company in Sweden is among the largest with assets of $500 million.
