Always a new start is better than dragging a serious mistake all your life
Even if it hurts. In the difficult stages and decisions that responsible for something we
must carry out (work, family, friends, environment, etc.) there seems to be a need for
change. Otherwise, we would remain in the same place, motionless or without star
again. And that goes against nature and against the evolution of the human being.
Therefore, we assume that the change is mandatory to prosper... But there are several
factors that always accompany the change:
1.-The resistance to change that, for example, the workers of a company offer when
they are forced to understand it and to assimilate it. They may well frustrate the goal.
2.-The lack of sufficient involvement of the actors that will undertake the change
globally. Even the fears of them.
3.-The inexperience and probable lack of skills of the leader who throws the change to
the rest of the group. Perhaps this one carried only by emotions and opinions. Without
being accompanied by an expert tutor to guide him.
4.-The personal and economic cost that the change implies in itself. Providing
uncertainty and dissenting voices that advocate not doing so.

Managing change requires decision and experience
It usually entails sudden changes, time, discouragement, reflection... And try to obtain
what is intended. But what is the threshold or the value with which we will be satisfied
when we begin the change? I mean, for example, to increase profits by 25% over the
previous year? To work 2 hours less a day, also reducing expenses? To modify our
company and its structure? It is important to determine it. Set an achievable goal is also
the task of an experienced, or to be guided by a tutor leader. Obviously, the effort and
the desire of the leader must be palpable, or else you run the risk of thinking that giving
orders everything is resolved. Error. There are, for example, linear methods such as the
Simplex algorithm ( https://lnkd.in/gqtK9Ca) to establish the variables to be maximized
and software such as Microsoft Project to manage; but they only mean tools to apply.
The strategy and the formation will suppose the success or the defeat.

Communication: welcome to the world of problems
Communicate, but in writing or orally? The subject changes, and a lot. In fact, we often
do not realize the problems that this brings us daily. If a company, for example, seeks to
implement an ISO quality system, an experienced leader must ensure that the workers
involved have a sufficient oral and written level. Hard.
-If in the oral language we did: you have said this (repeating it) and I answer this other,
many disagreements would be avoided. But human beings do not do it. We can even
end up saying the same thing, and arguing at the same time. Ironic. The words that are
used, and whose meanings are not well known, and poor knowledge of vocabulary is
another aggravating factor because what we explain will not be understood. Or it will be
misinterpreted. Serious.
- In written language it is still more complex. Misspelled orthographic signs (they
change what we are saying), erroneous signs of accentuation (modify the messages),
subordinate phrases and long paragraphs increase the confusion. So, as a whole,
communication can be the keystone for change. A vocabulary of quality systems:

Project management: a very specialized world
The implementation of the change (in a responsible way) must necessarily entail a
study, memory or previous preliminary project. That will serve as a guide for the final
project that we will undertake in the future. This can be applied to a company project or
in any other field with the necessary adaptations. And it will require the leader
knowledge and closeness with the objectives. It is essential in my opinion. In the
direction of projects, we can base ourselves on 2 main streams: PMI and Agile, which
suppose doctrines in the development of these. Or so they propose. While PMI is seen
as applicable to more business and traditional projects and Agile to software projects,
both can even coexist. (In addition to the LEAN methodology for the management and
improvement of processes, especially to the client). At the same time, there are
certifications or exams that can guarantee that a leader accredits knowledge about the
system of projects. This is: in the field of economics, business, application of labor
techniques, etc. Like VUE, Prometric, or others. I prefer the Agile Scrum methodology
because it is a more accurate and adjusted vision of what is intended. In time and
economy. Precision.

The tribulations of Open Source, on Demand / on Premise
First I will throw a wide and long smile with these kinds of decisions. Whatever we do,
we will never succeed probably. We will assume that everything that had to be decided
on the need for change regarding workers, responsible leader (s) and determination of a
change by the company is already finished and on paper. Or will do soon. One of the
questions to be resolved will be which software will accompany the business change. So
we'll start talking about PBX Ip, Pentaho BI, Alfresco, Linux, Microsoft, Sugar CRM,
VTiger, Open ERP, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, and other family and friends. Here IT
managers are a fundamental and essential part. But be careful, or know and have
experience of what they speak; or when it comes to working professionally, can we
have a serious problem? Specialized engineers will be very careful with aspects of
future modules for scalability, security, updates, development framework, etc. And here
we do play it seriously and with almost disastrous repercussions? The errors at this
stage will be very expensive. Critical phase. Attentive Knowing it, we can be smart and
cautious. No hurries.

We come to conclusions
Managing contexts is a crucial factor when it comes to initiatives aimed at change. On
the other hand, behavior change is related to making people do things differently, so it is
necessary to pay special attention to the work of the project specifically aimed at
achieving the participation of the parties involved, the participation of employees and
communication. It is more convenient that specializes in topics such as industrial and
organizational psychology and organizational development participate right from the
beginning so that they can develop change management programs and integrate them
into the initiative. The guidelines to follow should be based, for example, on PMI

In addition, the learning curves of each department, people, and related actors must be
carefully planned. In their hands will finally be the success of the change. From my
experience I know that resistance to the use of new ways of doing and new software will
act as final catalysts.
