How does it work?
This New York City inspired world is not like other worlds in the Sims 4. It’s an Open World! but what does it
mean? An “Open World” is a large area in a video-game that doesn’t require loading screens, you can
move around this playable area freely.
Reminder : This mod is not bringing back the Sims 3 kind of open worlds. Brookheights has many venues
that are placed o
ff
-lot in an expandable 360x360 playable area, around a 50x50 Active Lot in the middle
of the world (you can build on this lot).

3. HOW TO INSTALL
AUTO-INSTALL PROCESS ON WINDOWS COMPUTERS ONLY
You can now install Brookheights using the auto-installer provided. To do so, open the Auto install folder, and open the
Brookheights.exe

le. IF YOU INSTALLED THE SIMS 4 IN ANOTHER DIRECTORY THAN THE DEFAULT ONE, USE THE MANUAL
INSTALLATION PROCESS
If you play in an other language than English, install the Mod using the auto-installer, then go inside the Manual Install
folder, you will need to put the content of the MODS AND CC folder in your Mods folder, and the content of the SAVE FILE
folder in your Saves folder. Follow the manual installation process tutorial down below if you need help.
Once installed, make sure you activated your Mods and Script Mods in the options of your game. You can also uninstall or
repair the Mod by launching the Brookheights.exe

le again.

Once installed, make sure you activated your Mods and Script Mods in the options of your game. You can

6. Now, LET’S PLAY
For the best experience, I recommend playing with the Story Mode Save File. When you enter the game,
choose « Load Game ». You will

nd the Brookheights Story Mode save

le that has a custom image
thumbnail and is called Brookheights - Story Mode
You can now also Import Brookheights to any other save
fi
le, follow the tutorial down below.

7. Story Mode
If you want, you can play the story mode with Amos, in order to help him to find Brookheights. Load
their lot in Willow Creek, and explore Amos and Amelia’s house in order to find an object that will
guide you through the story. Clue : walls up to find it!
Go to http://thesims.shop/arnie-brookheights-companion/ to get some help to follow the
adventure if you are stuck.

8. Cheat
Don’t want to play the story mode? Click on your Mailbox, and choose the « Go to Brookheights
(CHEAT) » interaction.
Requirements
This Mod Pack absolutely needs The Sims 4 Get to Work and The Sims 4 City Living Expansion
Packs. Some other features require other packs (Loan at the Bank from Discover University, functional
caravan from Outdoor Retreat, etc.)
The more packs you have, the better the experience will be. If you do not own these packs, no
worries, you are still going to be able to go to Brookheights, only some interactions won’t be
available

In order to get to Brookheights, you can either follow the Story Mode that will lead you there, use the airport located in
West Oasis Springs, or you can also use the cheat by simply clicking on the Mailbox (no shift+click needed) “Go To
Brookheights - CHEAT”

9. How to get to Brookheights in other save

les?
In order to get to Brookheights, use the cheat by simply clicking on the Mailbox (no shift+click needed) “Go To Brookheights -
CHEAT”, it will lead you to an empty world where you will have to import Brookheights (follow the tutorial down below).
You can also download from the gallery an Airport Lot. Just search for “Brookheights”, tick “Include Custom Content” on
the left side of the menu, and you will
fi
nd it.
How to import Brookheights in any save
fi
le?
The Import Brookheights feature is experimental. Make sure to do a copy of your save
fi
les before trying this feature in
your games. In order to import Brookheights to any save
fi
le, use the cheat by simply clicking on the Mailbox (no shift+click
needed) “Go To Brookheights - CHEAT”, it will lead you to an empty world, around the Willow Creek Hospital. Go to the
top left corner of this world (see picture down below or follow the video tutorial). Enable cheats, and use shift+click on the
corner of the world. Choose World Edit…, and then Import Brookheights Lite 1.0. You will then have to wait up to a few
minutes for all the objects to show up. You can then create your own Centre Lot or go to the Gallery, Just search for
“Brookheights”, tick “Include Custom Content” on the left side of the menu, and you will the “Brookheights Centre” Lot.
Go to the top left

Shift+click on the extreme corner,
choose “World Edit…” and then “Import

10. Troubleshooting Guide
Errors & questions How to

Game Data Incomplete or Items Removed
This error only means that you don’t own every pack, and some
items have been deleted. You should be fine and can continue
playing, it’s just that some items or interactions might be missing.
Nothing major though
Story Mode Save

le not showing up
Make sure you downloaded the latest version (1.0 as of now) from
the appropriate link.
You can rename the save file to be your most recent save file +1.
Example: if your last save file is called « 0000005 », rename the
Brookheights save file to be « 0000006 »
On MacOS computers, you might need to change the letter+1.
Example: if your last save file is called « 000000E », rename the
Brookheights save file to be « 000000F »
Error 804
Make sure you loaded the last save file provided. The early
Brookheights BETA versions are no longer compatible.
Error 811
You need to update your game to the latest Patch (October) After
updating, you need to re-install the mod.
Manual Install - 3D Map View Not Working
Make sure you put the Camera.ini file in the /res folder (follow the
install instructions). If you have other camera Mods in The Sims 4,
uninstall them.
Manual Install - Do I need to delete all
fi
les in the under «
Areas » folder?
No, only delete the EP01_Retails_01.world and
EP01_CivicCenter_02.world files to add the custom ones. You can
also copy paste them and choose the « replace » option on your
computer.

11. Do I need to delete subfolders for the Mods section?
No, just copy paste the entire « Brookheights FulBuild » folder
into your /Mods folder.
How do I get to Brookheights ? (CHEAT)
Click on the mailbox (do not hold the shift key) and the cheat
interaction will appear. Or go to the Airport (you will find its secret
location by doing the Story Mode or heading to my companion
website).
I have tried to go to Brookheights but I just have an
in
fi
nite loading screen.
Make sure your computer has enough space available AND enable
script mods in your game Options. The Sims 4 has been glitchy
since the last patch update though, this error could also be coming
directly from EA. We are all waiting for the next update that should
fix these kind of problems.
My Sims can’t swim in Magnolia Promenade
Your world files have not been installed properly. Follow the install
instructions again

How do I uninstall
Take out the « Brookheights FullBuild » from your /Mods folder
and the save
fi
le from your /saves folder, go to Origin, right click
on The Sims 4, and choose repair game. Your game will download
the previously replaced files and go back to normal.
