Personal Statement
I’ve been told on several accounts that I am one of the nicest guys you will meet; I have spent
my whole work career in Customer Service and my last year in Hospitality. As such, I am all
about going the extra mile. I am about to graduate with an Associate’s Degree in Philosophy
from Creighton University. During my years at Creighton I was a proud member of the Acapella
group, The Creightones, as well as an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. I
have always had a job since I was 15 and through my work, schooling, and life experiences I
have learned to be an adequate listener and problem solver. Nothing makes me happier than
finding a way to bring joy to others, especially when it seems such a goal cannot be achieved, I
become determined to beat the odds.

College Involvement
Creightones
20102014
I was a member of Creighton’s acapella singing group that is student ran. We met
several times a week to practice new material with the purpose of bringing joy and relieving
stress to those who request us, or to go out to the Creighton/Omaha community and brighten
peoples’ days.
An Member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon
20102014
The Creighton chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon has beaten all stereotypes that surround Greek
life, we do not haze, or treat new members with disrespect, and we have fun in health manners
that support the wellbeing of all in the chapter.
I have taken roles of leadership since joining; I was the Service and Philanthropy chair in the
Fall of 2011. Our fraternity had the highest number of service hours per person of all other
Greek organizations and we introduced a new philanthropy event that year that did very well
called Duck Hunt.
I also took the role of New Member Educator in the fall of 2013. The goals of the position were
to educate the new members in the history, traditions, and creed of the fraternity, as well as
increase the bonds with the active members of the chapter to further their brotherhood.
