1. Obtaining Contact Information of Car Dealership General Managers
This document will detail how I expect contact information of car dealership general managers
to be found and documented. For this trial exercise, I would like you to focus on finding emails
and names of car dealership General Managers in the Milwaukee area. This trial will be one
hour long, so collect as many emails and names as possible in that one hour in the attached
spreadsheet to send to me for review. If you believe you have exhausted the Milwaukee area
and still have remaining time in that one hour, please search for emails and names of car
dealership General Managers in the Chicago area.
Steps for obtaining emails
1.) Go to www.google.com
2.) Search “Car Dealership Milwaukee”
3.) Click on the “Map for car dealership Milwaukee link”

2. 4.) Click on a car dealership located on the map (Heiser Chevrolet for this example)
5.) Click on website address to open up a new tab with dealership’s website
6.) Go to dealership address

3. 7.) From here you will be searching for the name and email of the General Manager of this
specific dealership. Always look on the top drop down bars for an “About Us”, “Contact Us”,
“Dealer Info” tab. The tab may be named something else, as each dealership is different. In
this example, the dealership has a “Dealer Info” tab.
8.) Hover or click your mouse on the tabs until you find an “Our Team”, “Meet Our Staff”, or
similar item to click on that would re-direct you to a page that lists off the team members of
that dealership.

4. 9.) Click to open the team page
10.) Look for the “General Manager” position

5. 11.) Copy the General Manager’s email address, name, dealership name and city into the Excel
file that I will provide you. For the trial, the city should be Milwaukee or Chicago (if you work
through all the Milwaukee dealerships in less than an hour). So, for this dealership, it would
look as follows:

6. 12.) Repeat steps 4-11 for one hour to collect as many email addresses and names of General
Managers. If a site does not list their General Manager’s email address, move on.
13.) Save the Excel file as “Car Dealer Trial – Milwaukee – [Your Last Name]” and email it to me
by Tuesday, December 16th
at 20:00 CST (UTC -6:00). Remember that you will only be
permitted to work for one hour during the trial.
