Introduction
My track record in the public sector is outlined in detail in the CV below. In particular
I draw your attention to my Board roles with the Homes and Communities Agency
and as Chair of the Housing Diversity Network. My leadership and influencing roles
have supported these organisations to transform and develop.
Significantly these roles have been focussed on giving advice, scrutinising
performance, leading on future strategy and encouraging and making the most of
cross-sector working. I am delighted that these organisations are in a stronger
position now than when I joined their Boards.
I am aware of the current economic and social challenges and I have successfully
used sound judgement and risk management when operating in these non-executive
roles. My professional experiences have focussed on a detailed understanding of
discrimination law, human resources, scrutiny and service improvement.
I have a passion for fairness, honesty and transparency and this has underpinned the
major projects that I have influenced and delivered in my professional and executive
roles, in particular as a Trustee of Leonard Cheshire Disability. I am fully aware of
imperatives around delivering value for money and efficiencies whilst achieving social
justice.
Profile
I work strategically as the Head of Diversity Marketing in a national role with the
Places for People Group. I am a passionate and dedicated professional with extensive
experience of leading organisational change. With proven leadership skills I have
assisted many organisations to build their brand, develop and motivate the business
to improve performance whilst managing risk.
Board experience includes chairing the Housing Diversity Network for three years,
improving its balance sheet and leading it to be a much stronger organisation. I am
also a longstanding member of the Governments Homes and Communities Agency
Equality Advisory Board.
