breath taking views and a spectacular backdrop of Mombacho Volcano, that gave birth to the Islands of Granada.

5. Islands of Granada
All of the islands are covered with lush vegetation, rich with bird life. Many of the islands are occupied,
most are privately owned or vacation houses to the wealthiest families of Nicaragua. There are facilities
for residents and for tourists. Hotels and shops are established on some of the islands, boating and
airplane tours are available.

archipelago.
