The document proposes the creation of a recreational center to address problems in the community like congestion, lack of social interaction, and poor health. The center would include park spaces, sports facilities, jogging tracks, and restaurants. It would promote physical and social activity in the community. Implementing the center would create a healthier population and reduce costs associated with pollution, crime, and poor health. The proposal is presented to the city council for approval to benefit the entire community.
2. Introduction
❖ The complexity of activities in the society may result in an overwhelming concentration of the
community members on work-related issues.
❖ As a result, the community may be occupied by mentally tired individuals who pose a significant risk to
the general health of the community.
❖ As a result, I will present a thoughtful proposal for a recreational center to the city council that will be
of much benefit to the community, individuals as well as the government.
❖ My proposal presents the creation of a public park that would provide opportunities for the community
members to carry out different physical activities such as sports and exercises inclusively in a safe
environment.
❖ The idea of a recreational center is to foster a healthy community by encouraging physical exercise as
well as promoting social relatedness among the community members (Jumpsix2, 2016a).
❖ For this reason, the recreational center will promote a healthy community for the benefit of the country.

Editor's Notes
The recreational center will address the issue of congestion in the community by providing a general large place to which every community member has access. The growing population in the community also increases the need for a larger recreation center.
Health has been one of the concerns that our community faces every day. Rather than over reliance on the health facilities to enhance a healthy community through costly meditation and diagnosis, the recreational centers will face the health problems from a different perspective. This will involve the promotion of physical exercises among the community members such as running and sports activities that bring together people from different social status (Pistone, 2015).
The centers will also address the problem of reduced social interaction. Other than building a healthy community on mental wellness and physical activities, the recreation center will provide a safe space where community members have a chance to interact with each other on different matters that affect their lives either directly or indirectly. The recreation center also addresses the issue of environmental degradation. By creating public parks where the community members meet up to have fun and engage in different health-promoting activities, the ecosystem benefits through sustainability. The parks as natural spaces require protection and maintenance which boost the health of the ecology in a community. Crime in society. While the recreation center provides a safe space for sports activities, it is a significant strategy in reducing crime in society by diverting the energy of young people from crime into sports activities that engage their minds in holistic development (Pistone, 2015).
The climate that sometimes rises in the country requires an alternative plan to help the community members find refuge from the hot sun. As a result, the recreation center will comprise park space with a natural environment that provides shade to the community members without thinking of indoor refuge.
The multipurpose activity space will provide indoor sporting activities such as indoor soccer, floor hockey, volleyball, and basketball.
Also included in the plan is an outdoor football and volleyball ground that will attract young talents to participate and showcase their skills and talents on the field.
In addition, the proposal also contains a swimming pool which will provide hydrotherapy to the participants as well as physical exercise for enjoyment purposes.
Alongside the swimming pool, the proposal also includes a restaurant that provides meals to the community members while in the recreation center. More importantly, the centers will also incorporate the administrative offices which are manned by the City council officials (Pistone, 2015).
Using the recreational center, the proposal plans to provide a diversity of activities that meet the desires of the community members who value the aesthetics of the natural environment. The recreation opportunities will also provide the community members with essential benefits and appreciation of the country’s natural environment and resources.
The proposal plans to provide recreational activities that meet the needs of different individuals in the community from different age groups. This will be a network of parklands, recreation facilities, open spaces, staff services, and programs, curated to meet the specialized needs of individual society. While some individuals may participate in active recreational activities such as programmed and organized sports, others may specialize in passive activities such as strolling through a garden, reading under the trees, and observing nature while in the park (Pistone, 2015).
While the parks serve as an enjoyment center, the purpose of the activities is to educate the community on the importance of healthy living as well as the natural environment. Therefore, the proposal seeks to provide a clean and friendly atmosphere to foster social and psychological learning. In addition, educational services to the attendees of the recreation centers for different activities on health and wellness as well as social interaction.
The presentation of cultural arts and sports activities provides the community with the opportunity to learn and grow in sports that keep the members fit and healthy. On the other hand, the provision of swimming services also presents the community with an opportunity to take swimming lessons that also act as survival mechanisms in the event of disasters such as floods and water complications in large water bodies (Pistone, 2015).
Creation of the recreation center master plan. To execute the proposed change for the community, the plan has to align with the specific need of the community. This will help understand what problems lie in the community to be addressed by the recreation center. For instance, the problems of congestion in the community come from the growing population. The open space will be a good option for the community members to escape the congestion pressure (Crosskey, 2020).
Community engagement. Community engagement is an important step in planning for a recreation center. This can be done through conducting surveys, meeting with community leaders, and house talks with different community memes to identify their specific needs and recommendations. In addition, partner organizations such as religious organizations, schools, hospitals, and local companies are also important in the consultation process (Crosskey, 2020).
Creating access for all citizens. It is important to consider how most Citizens will access the recreation center as the primary target. The proximity of the location is an important issue in deciding on bringing a community recreation center. Making the place equally accessible to all the citizens including the disabled makes the plan viable for community development. Therefore, the proposal has put in place the consideration of the proximity of the recreation center to all the citizens equally (Crosskey, 2020).
Seeking political will. The proposal seeks to get the political will of the City council members to approve the right strategy to implement the plan. Recommendations of the City council will be fundamental in providing a productive plan for the recreation center by attracting potential investors in the project to help the community as well as the City (Crosskey, 2020).
Evaluation of the plan assets. In the process of planning for the change, the proposal has considered the assets that the recreation center needs. The growing community population has forced the evolution of the assets that the community requires in the center to meet their needs. As a result, the proposal provides improvements if the existing recreation centers provide an advanced system that can accommodate the needs of the community satisfactorily (Crosskey, 2020).
Business attraction. Business owners and corporate institutions tend to choose business locations that are near parks and recreational centers. A recent survey conducted by Area Development reported that the ability to acquire and maintain talents by the employees is the leading factor that CEOs consider in choosing the location of businesses. Therefore, the park will attract different businesses both individual and corporate organizations, to increase revenue creation (Jumpsix2, 2016).
The attraction of homebuyers. The parks act as a magnet for the homebuyers who prefer locations near recreation centers to live. The location of the parks therefore will determine the value of residential homes in the surrounding area that are projected to increase in value. The rise in value is due to the demand for the location of the houses around the parks, thereby increasing revenue for the City (Jumpsix2, 2016).
Reduction of public health costs. The parks play an important role in promoting the physical and mental health of the community members. This strategy helps reduce the cost that would have otherwise been used to treat outbreaks of diseases on the community members including obesity, heart diseases, overweight, and diabetes.
Reduction of pollution-related costs. According to the United States Forest Service, one tree is estimated to reduce $62,000 in air pollution costs. In addition, trees in the arks will help reduce stormwater management costs.
Tourism attraction. With the beautiful sceneries proposed in the plan, the center will provide a beautiful tourist attraction to increase the city's revenues. The sports activities will involve holding tournaments that will bring people from different countries to participate and witness. In turn, this will also provide an opportunity for the community to benefit financially from the fees collected from the tickets (Jumpsix2, 2016).
Reduction of security costs. The recreation center will provide an opportunity for young people to focus on physical activities that engage their minds morally. In turn, the activities will shift the minds of offenders from crime and help the community save on security costs (Pistone, 2015).
Inclusivity.
The social bonds that people create at community recreation centers while engaging in different activities are significant in community development. Through the connections, the community members improve their lives and help build inclusive, safe, and strong communities; civic pride, social interaction, aesthetics, and volunteerism all play important roles (Jumpsix2, 2016a).
Health boost
The inclusivity in the recreational centers allows all the citizens with all kinds of talents and physical abilities to share their skills in the centers and boost their healthy life. On the other hand, individuals who fancy sports also find life in the recreational centers by witnessing the activities that bring joy to them. The benefits derived from constant physical activities in the centers boost the health of the community members (Jumpsix2, 2016a).
Social responsibility
The changing times and climate requires a different perspective in helping the environment. Through the recreation centers, the community learns to protect natural resources and appreciate the aesthetics of nature. As a result, the parks promote social responsibilities in the community members for a long-term benefit (Jumpsix2, 2016a).
