Research Assistant
Discovered and presented a relationship between levels of AICD mRNA,age, and function of the B-cell affinity
maturation process in Danio rerio (zebrafish) by extraction of mRNA and analysis through Experion
electrophoresis and qPCR.
Biochemical
Determined arginase kinetics and the presence of active isoforms in genetically modified strains of Nuerospora
crassa utilizing enzyme assays and analysis tools such as HPLC and UV-Visible spectroscopy.
Molecular Biology
Utilizing aseptic technique, bacterial transformation was used to create a genomic library of Vibrio fischeri which
was then sequenced with Next-Gen sequence analysis.
With multiple tests,Gram stains, and proper microscopy, A. faecalis and B. subtilis were identified from
unknown colonies of bacteria.
Chemical
Gas chromatography and mass spectrometry were used to discover the identity and relative levels of terpenes/
other secondary metabolites present in browsed and non-browsed Atlantic White Cedar trees.
