drug-distribution systems, drug-utilization evaluation, complex equipment and delivery systems,

EXPERIENCE
Emergency Room Pharmacist; Baptist Health South
February 2010 to August 2016
 Improved reviews and placement of patient documented medication histories and new
medication orders for correct dosing, route of administration with potential drug interactions
 Established a vital role in the innovative development of Baptist Health Heart Failure Clinic,
as well as contributed as significant pharmacist, in medication reconciliation and
management of future medication regimens with the heart failure patients; met directly with
both new and returning patients to modify drug regimens
 Enhanced coordination and administration of therapeutic agents using the latest ACLS
guidelines during code blue resuscitations
 Obtained relevant social, medical, and laboratory information to assess patient-specific
problems, and then select, initiate, and monitor drug therapy for safe and achievable
therapeutic outcomes in the emergency department patient
 Applied therapeutic and pharmacokinetic principles to the emergency department, and
initiated weight based dosing for stat medications
 Supplied alternative agents for medications currently unavailable
 Instructed and educated physician and nursing staff in the ER
 Assisted in improving outcomes through active participation in administration and distribution
of therapeutic agents for code stroke, and patients presenting with STEMI and unstable non-

Classic to full computerized physician order entry in Millennium

 Strategized many of the PowerPlans in Cerner System used today for support of
medication order entry for computerized physician order entry

 Served as key pharmacy lead for the design and implementation of the NICU at Baptist
