MEMORANDUM
TO: Sweet Nectar Society
CC: Betsy Hays
FROM: Joe Prior
DATE: October 10, 2016
SUBJECT: Website Recommendations
Sweet Nectar Society’s website is done well. Overall timeliness is of content is good, I would
just be sure to update on the first of the month with a little something. For example, the Sweetie
section seems to be last updated on 9-11-16. Also under the Sweet Eats Program in the goals
section it says Children’s Hospital which has now changed its name to Valley Children’s
Hospital.
Navigation of the site is simple and easy to find. It is clear cut and easy to read. I would only
suggest to add a centralized button to take you back to the home page where you would be able
to put important and timely information that you want people to be aware of when they visit the
site.
Visuals are excellent, simple but speak loudly about the cause that are promoting. I would
suggest making the font for the Sweeties posts stand out a little more by possibly making the font
match the rest of the website.
The overall usefulness of the website is very good. At the bottom of any page on the website you
can find the major functions of the website such as a donations link and a search bar. I would
suggest adding contact information and moving the search bar to the top of the page.
General content is very meaningful and engaging to the audience. The content really tugs at your
heart strings because all the children and their stories. It shows the reader the stories of all these
children and their families and what they are going through. The pictures also show hope that
there is something good right around the corner. I think the content is amazing and there is no
need to change it.
Visitors are likely to return to the site because it is easy to navigate and very engaging to the
audience. There are great pictures for people to enjoy and that go with stories of these amazing
kids.
Regards,
Joe Prior
