70’s Cleveland rockers GRANICUS to return in 2016 with new record. Granicus
released their second record in 2010, due to the interest created by their pirated debut
record, released on RCA in 1973. The greatest 70’s hard rock band never to make it?
That is what some still call Cleveland’s Granicus, whose debut record is still lauded in
some classic rock circles today. Drummer Joe Battaglia, guitarist Al Pinell and bassist
Dale Bedford are collaborating on new material. Lead guitarist Artie Cashin, who
appeared on their second release, Thieves, Liars and Traitors in 2010, is also back for
the upcoming third record. Lead voice Woody Leffel has opted not to return for this
record, so the band has filled that vacancy with fellow Clevelander Gerry Schultz, a
