close and friendly. Both nations have a centuries-
old history of trade relations. From the 17th
century until 1954, France maintained a colonial
presence in the subcontinent.
• India-France trade relations is a common forum of
India and France Chamber of Commerce and
Industry. India France trade relations aim at
facilitating better India and European Union trading
relation. Further, their common goal is to double
